Hannelore Hafmeyja was born under the tundra. Her first memory is of her own tiny hand reaching for sea sparkle, a bioluminescent plankton, which she took to be water faeries. From the moment of her birth, she has been under the umbrage of the sea.
She is beautiful. And very smart. And very dangerous. After years of abuse, Hannelore murdered her husband with an obsidian dagger she’d gouged out of the earth with her bare hands. His death was luminous, and the room filled with sticky black flies.
Hannelore absconded to Iceland after the murder, where she built the Poetry Brothel using the few materials at her disposal.
